This article describes how you can edit the default error message of a rule requirement.
If errors are reported after a check has been run in the Plugin, you can click the i icon to learn more about the error. By default, the automatically created error message is shown.
However, you can customize this error message to clarify the problem and the reason for the requirement. In the error message description, which is an optional field, the error can also be defined further, or a even solution proposal can be given.
You can edit the error message when you’re creating a new rule or editing an existing one. The error message is different for different rule requirements.
To edit the default rule error text:
- Click Edit error message:
- A dialog opens. You can edit the error message and add an optional description:
- Click Save.
